GREENWOOD, S.C. — Fuji Photo Film Co. announced plans to build a factory here that will eventually employ about 150 people to manufacture products used in offset printing.
The plant will be the Japanese company’s first U.S. manufacturing plant, the company said.
The project, reported to cost about $80 million, will be built on a 150-acre parcel of land, with factory construction expected to begin in the fall, the company said.
Fuji already has similar overseas manufacturing plants in the Netherlands, Brazil, Indonesia and West Germany, the company said.
