Who says history does not repeat? In 1974, the Dodgers had an outfielder who sparked the team’s pennant drive. His name was Jimmy Wynn and his number was 23. This year Kirk Gibson is sparking the team, which may get into the World Series again. Only this time, maybe the A’s won’t beat the Dodgers in the Series, as they did in ’74.
