Should Clint Eastwood--now 58, according to the Motion Picture Almanac--have a desk job instead of chasing bad guys as Inspector Harry Callahan in “Dead Pool”? Consider: A rep for San Francisco P.D. says they’ve got some guys--”a few, not many”--who are in their 60s and still working Homicide.
“As long as they’re physically able to do the job . . . and Clint looks to be in pretty good shape,” said the rep.
But, “In reality, his character probably would have retired by now. It’s common for guys to retire when they’re between 50 and 55, after 25 years’ service. But with Hollywood, well, anything goes.”
