Farmers

Since I come from a Midwest farm background, I can’t be entirely prejudiced.
However, I find it paradoxical that when bumper crops prevail the government pays subsidies to bolster farm incomes, and when a drought hits we also subsidize farmers because their income suffers.
I now of no other industry that can keep its cake after eating it.
