The Minnesota Twins and pitcher Bert Blyleven have reached agreement in principle on a contract that could keep Blyleven with the team through the 1990 season, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.
The deal probably won’t be completed until the team returns home later this week, the newspaper said. Andy MacPhail, executive vice president, said he could not confirm the agreement.
