‘Bring on the Rails’

I’d like to compliment you on your editorial. The Times is hitting the nail right on the head.

As one who is a car owner, Amtrak traveler, and frequent flyer, I feel qualified to say that there is a place for all three in our transportation system.

The key is in knowing which system to use in a given situation.

Your editorial points out clearly and concisely that the traffic congestion between Riverside and Orange County would best be served by using commuter trains on the already existing tracks.

Though the point made may seem obvious, I think it’s important you printed it so that the public is made more aware of this particular situation and others similar to it.
