A pedestrian was killed late Monday on a downtown San Diego freeway when he was hit by one or more vehicles, the California Highway Patrol reported. The accident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. on the ramp from southbound California 163 to southbound Interstate 5. The pedestrian, whose identity was unavailable, was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP said.
