The Major Indoor Soccer League announced that it will return for another season even though franchises in St. Louis, Minnesota, Chicago, Tacoma and Cleveland have folded since June.

The teams scheduled to play next season are the Lazers, Baltimore, Dallas, Kansas City, San Diego, Wichita and a new Tacoma franchise.

The owners of the San Diego and Tacoma franchises said earlier that they wanted to play in an eight-team league. However, all owners agreed Monday to go on for another season with seven teams, each playing 48 games.

The San Diego franchise is in bankruptcy court, but is expected to survive.
