Counsel’s Report on Ed Meese

I have always hoped that a person in this country is innocent until proven guilty. Not so with The Times. Your front-page article “Meese Probably Broke Law 4 Times, McKay Concludes” (July 19) reads like a further accusation. I would love to see Meese turn around and prosecute his accusers with the same zeal in which he has been accused. This entire situation is so obviously partisan that if I were a Democrat I would switch parties.
