Facelift for 10 Downing St.

The interior of 10 Downing St., the office and residence of British prime ministers since 1732, will be remodeled starting next week. Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s press office said Wednesday that the building will undergo its first major remodeling in 17 years. British taxpayers will pick up the $515,000 tab.
