Site Must Be Cleaned
The Assn. for Retarded Citizens-San Diego is shocked to hear of the dioxins and high levels of lead being found at the proposed park site at Chollas Lake.
As an organization committed to the prevention of mental retardation, we demand the city of San Diego respond expediently and effectively on this issue.
Our organization recognizes that 50% of all cases of mental retardation could have been prevented. It is a social travesty that, as a result of pollutants and toxins, such as those found at Chollas Lake, many children could be born with mental retardation.
Please move quickly to prevent jeopardizing the future of our children by endangering the unborn fetus.
