Greene Joins Lakers for Summer League

Hunter Greene, formerly of Van Nuys High, will play on the Lakers’ entry in the Southern California Summer Professional League, the two-time NBA champions announced Tuesday.

Greene, a 6-foot, 6 1/2-inch guard who completed his collegiate eligibility this season at the University of New Mexico, will make his debut tonight when the Lakers meet the Chicago Bulls summer team at Loyola Marymount’s Albert Gersten Pavilion.

First-round draft choice David Rivers and four members of the Lakers’ championship team--Mike Smrek, Tony Campbell, Milt Wagner and Jeff Lamp--also are on the team.
