Gerald Madkins, a guard on the UCLA basketball team who was injured in a campus traffic accident last week, has undergone successful pelvic surgery, the school announced.
Team doctor Gerald Finerman said Madkins is expected to recovery fully. He will remain hospitalized for about a week.
