Regarding Robert Hilburn’s review of the concert of Steve Winwood and opening act, Johnny Clegg and Savuka (Pop Music Review, July 26):
For centuries, the critic has suffered abuse and derision by artist and audience alike. Hilburn’s failure to adequately recognize Johnny Clegg, who is a superstar in Europe, gives us a contemporary example of why this innate dislike of critics continues.
