Plastics Fire Forces Evacuation in Houston

HOUSTON —
A four-alarm fire in a plastics recycling plant forced the evacuation of a square-mile area, but residents were allowed to return early Monday as the threat of toxic fumes subsided, authorities said.
The sparsely populated area around Premium Plastics Supply in far south Houston was evacuated as a precaution after the fire was reported Sunday night.
