Former Houston Oilers running back and Heisman Trophy winner Earl Campbell remains hospitalized in Houston after being admitted over the weekend for severe chest pains.
Campbell, 33, was in stable condition at St. Luke’s Hospital at the Texas Medical Center.
The 1977 Heisman Trophy winner from Texas said he first got chest pains while playing golf last Monday, and again on Saturday. Campbell said the pain was so severe Saturday, he called an ambulance to take him from his Houston home to the hospital.
