All right, so you’re not going to wear your heart on your head, or a purple suede sculpture of a Ruffles potato chip. Not this season, anyway. But women are covering more of their anatomy in more romantic ways these days. And squeaky-clean hair may soon not be enough--something more imaginative may be required to cover it.

Here, straight from the gilt-edged salons of French couturiers Givenchy and Lanvin, are examples of the latest headwear--each making a come-hither statement with architectonic flair. And while these aren’t exactly the sort of chapeaus you can buy at Venice Beach or at the local mall, don’t be surprised to find approximations of them surfacing in Los Angeles soon.
