Boxing’s Racial Issues Needed the Attention
Look at the headline of Earl Gustkey’s commentary, “In Boxing, It’s Color of Money That Wins Out.” It might be sad, but it’s true that the color green wins out just about everywhere, not just boxing.
Attack Sugar Ray Leonard? Gustkey makes it sound as if he’s picking a fight with Donnie and Marie Osmond, not an accredited light heavyweight champion.
Boxers are human, too. They like to get paid for what they do best. Ali did. George Foreman does now. Sugar Ray is no exception.
