Chula Vista
Chula Vista police, acting late Thursday on information from San Diego police, arrested a man wanted since February on a no-bail warrant for possession of explosive devices and armed robbery, police said.
Thomas Herbert Howcroft, 25, was apprehended by police staking out his apartment in the 200 block of Quintard Street, San Diego police spokesman Bill Robinson said. Howcroft, also known as Thomas Holocroft and Thomas Johnson, was considered armed and dangerous and has booby-trapped his homes to evade capture, Robinson said.
Howcroft had shaved his beard and trimmed his hair but was identified by his tattoos and held in County Jail downtown, Robinson said.
