CANDIDATES FOR MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL POSTS

Share
Times Staff Writer

Candidates from diverse walks of life are seeking the reins of local government in 11 Orange County cities that have municipal elections scheduled on Nov. 8.

The candidates range from business executives to a “fledgling” actor and writer who repossesses cars, a preschool director, and a self-described “holistic life-style counselor.”

The same diversity is reflected in the issues, which range from a $30-million proposal for widening intersections in Anaheim to an offshore oil-drilling referendum in San Clemente.
