A 25-year-old South Los Angeles man was arrested Saturday in the fatal shooting of a Hawthorne merchant who was robbed of $80,000 Friday after making a withdrawal from a Lawndale bank, authorities said.
Omar Dent III was arrested at noon at the 69th Street home of a friend, Los Angeles County sheriff’s spokesman Hal Grant said. He was to be booked on suspicion of murder at County Jail. The money has not been recovered, Grant said.
