Local News in Brief : Tustin : City’s Election Will Coincide With County’s

City Council elections will be held on Nov. 8, coinciding for the first time with the countywide election day. There are three council seats open, City Clerk Mary Wynn said.

Candidates running for those seats are: John Norman Butler, 32, businessman; Richard B. Edgar, 66, incumbent councilman; Gregory A. Hile, 32, businessman and attorney; Ronald B. Hoesterey, 38, company president and incumbent councilman; Joseph B. Langley, 47, title executive; Earl J. Prescott, 34, businessman and incumbent councilman; Charles E. (Chuck) Puckett, 45, a sales and marketing executive, and Jim Scott, 44, historical consultant.

The last city elections were held in April, 1986. In February, 1987, the city council decided to consolidate the city election with the November general election.
