But wait! There’s more Soviet rock ‘n’ roll news: namely, a large international rock festival in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, scheduled for this weekend. The Friday-Sunday affair, named Glasnost Rock ‘88, is being sponsored by the Finnish radio network Radio One and several Estonian musical organizations--including the Estonian Philharmonic Society. On the performance bill: Public Image Ltd., ex-Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett and Leather Nun, not to mention a constellation of Soviet, Finnish and Eastern European rock bands.
