**DWIGHT YOAKAM. “Buenas Noches From a Lonely Room.” Reprise. On his third album, Yoakam sounds much more relaxed, his catch-in-the-throat vocal style coming across as more genuine and less as a calculated move to align himself with the honky-tonkin’ greats. But the material--built around a couple of mini-concepts, including a relationship that nose-dives from cheery optimism (“I Got You”) to shocking finality (the title track)--is schizophrenic. “Streets of Bakersfield,” featuring a duet with Buck Owens, is a stand-out and the musical support throughout is impeccable, but the shotgun approach strikes too few bull’s-eyes.
