Local News in Brief : La Habra : Police Find Man Stabbed in Back
An Ontario man was in stable condition after he was stabbed several times in the back early Sunday morning, authorities said.
Police responded at 1:45 a.m. to a report of a person stabbed in the 600 block of South Cypress Street and found the victim, Danny Aguirre, whose age is not known, La Habra Police Sgt. Phil Stufflebean said.
Aguirre was taken to La Habra Community Hospital, where he was in the intensive care unit after undergoing surgery.
Stufflebean said it is not known whether the stabbing was gang-related. Aguirre was not cooperating with authorities, and several people at the scene, including the victim’s brother, Jim, 19, did not provide any information, he said.
