A motorist who plunged 50 feet from an overpass to an expressway in an upside-down station wagon walked away from the accident.

“I swerved to avoid an accident, and the next thing I know I’m going over the guardrail,” said Ronald V. Zielin, 17, of Chicago. “I just started screaming and screaming.”

State police said that Zielin was driving a station wagon that was struck by an oncoming car, then plunged from the overpass onto the hood of another car Sunday.
