NEW POST OFFICE WINDOW SERVICE HOURS IN ORANGE COUNTY

On Feb. 13 the United States Postal Service reduced window hours at its offices throughout Orange County in order to comply with the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1987, which mandated budget cuts totalling $1.245 billion. Because the Service was able to successfully make those cuts it will expand its hours at most offices beginning Saturday. Hours at some of the branches will remain the same and a few will be somewhat reduced. These changes will not affect the county’s postal contract stations.
