The San Diego Community Foundation is putting on its Western boots to try to round up some requests for arts assistance out in the country. The foundation has $22,500 in grants earmarked for arts groups in rural, unincorporated areas of San Diego County and hopes to find some art in the backcountry. Tim Beall, the foundation’s Rural Arts Program coordinator, will hold informational site visits on the program over the next two next weeks. He’ll be at the Alpine Community Center at 6 p.m. Monday; the Ramona Town Hall at 10 a.m. Tuesday; the Great American First Savings Bank Community room in Bonita at 4 p.m. Tuesday; the Fallbrook Community Center Lounge at 6 p.m. Wednesday; the American Indian Education Center in Pala at 4 p.m. next Thursday; Borrego Springs Bank at 11 a.m. Sept. 23, and the Julian Firehouse at 6 p.m. Sept. 26.
