Decoy Prostitutes Help Arrest 29 Men
Twenty-nine men were arrested for soliciting for prostitution in a police decoy operation that ended early Saturday morning on El Cajon Boulevard.
Two policewomen disguised as prostitutes worked on the street east of Interstate 805 for more than five hours, attracting a number of men to offer them money in exchange for sex.
“It’s a periodic operation to take the customers away from the prostitutes,” police spokesman Bill Robinson said. “And as far as the johns, it was a good cross section of men ranging from college students to businessmen and from young adults to elderly men.”
He said the suspects were given written citations and ordered to appear in court on the misdemeanor charges.
