The San Diego Design Center, 6455 Lusk Blvd., has been topped out and is expected to open in April.

The $45-million, 342,000-square-foot design resource facility in the Sorrento Mesa area is a McKellar Development project, designed by Johannes Van Tilburg.

More than 125,000 square feet of showroom space has already been committed by Los Angeles and New York manufacturing firms, according to Len Lemlein, center president.
