Share

After dropping the first two games, the Thousand Oaks girls’ volleyball team rallied from a 7-2 third-game deficit to beat Royal, 12-15, 11-15, 15-12, 15-11, 15-8, in a Marmonte League match at Royal.

“I think we had them at that point,” Royal Coach Bob Ferguson said of the Highlanders’ 5-point, third-game lead. “But then they got their concentration and we lost ours. It’s a compliment to their team that they kept their composure because we outplayed them in the first two games.”

Thousand Oaks Coach Ron Beick agreed, saying, “Royal certainly gave us all we could handle. It took 2 1/2 games for us to get on our feet.”
