From Associated Press

Diamond Bar residents fled their luxury hillcrest homes today. No homes were immediately reported burned, but “They are evacuating one street,” said Los Angeles County sheriff’s Deputy Detta Roberts.

Residents of between 30 and 40 homes on Wagon Train Lane were told to evacuate about noon, an hour after two wildfires were reported spreading through tinder-dry brush in the suburban Diamond Bar area 30 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. A 120-man strike force battled the fires in 90-degree temperatures.
