The Rams activated special teams star Tim Tyrrell Friday and placed rookie tailback Keith Jones on injured reserve with an ankle injury.

Tyrrell had been on injured reserve since Aug. 30 with a hamstring pull. Jones had been on the team’s two-man inactive list on game days.

To make room for Tyrrell on the 45-man roster, rookie linebacker Brett Faryniarz was moved to Jones’ spot on the inactive list for this week.
