Tyrrell had been on injured reserve since Aug. 30 with a hamstring pull. Jones had been on the team’s two-man inactive list on game days.
To make room for Tyrrell on the 45-man roster, rookie linebacker Brett Faryniarz was moved to Jones’ spot on the inactive list for this week.
Also, Coach John Robinson announced that right guard Duval Love will not start against the Phoenix Cardinals at Anaheim Stadium Sunday because of a foot injury. Love will be available if needed, however. Tony Slaton will take Love’s place.
