The Jamaica Tourist Board said that 75% of the country’s hotel rooms are fully operational, with the remainder expected to be ready by the start of the winter tourist season. Air Jamaica, American, Eastern, British Airways and Air Canada airlines have restored normal services, and electricity has been restored to most resorts in the wake of Hurricane Gilbert.
