Glendale Senior Citizen Complex Gets Funding
The Soroptimist International Club of Glendale and Southern California Presbyterian Homes will receive about $4.5 million to build a federally subsidized senior citizen complex in Glendale, Glendale Community Development Administrator Madalyn Blake said.
The 75-unit project will be built on a vacant city lot on the northeast corner of Monterey Road and Louise Street, Blake said. The city has donated the land, and the federal grant will cover the $4.5 million cost of construction, which is expected to begin in about 18 months.
