Local News in Brief : Chatsworth House Hit by $300,000 Blaze

Los Angeles Fire Department officials were investigating the cause of a fire early Sunday that caused $300,000 damage to a large Chatsworth home under construction.
No injuries were reported in the blaze in the 20500 block of Northridge Road that consumed a two-story, single-family home, Fire Department spokesman Jim Williamson said. Eight engine companies responded to the fire at 2:10 a.m. It was extinguished about 30 minutes later, Williamson said.
