Action taken by the Department of Motor Vehicles against convicted drunk drivers is ordered by an individual court. The numbers listed below are yearly totals of Orange County convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. They do not include jail terms that may have been imposed by a court. The numbers take into account the following: suspension for misdemeanor first offense; suspension for felony first offense; suspension for misdemeanor second offense; revocation for felony second offense; revocation for misdemeanor third offense; revocation for felony third or more offense; revocation for misdemeanor fourth or more offense; revocation for misdemeanor/felony for a minor; restriction for second misdemeanor; restriction for second felony, and suspension for second felony.
