Marine Injured in Car Accident Dies

A Camp Pendleton Marine died Saturday of injuries he suffered in an Oct. 4 automobile accident in San Juan Capistrano.
Jay Grumbley, 23, whose address was listed as the Camp Pendleton base, died at 10:40 a.m. at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo.
Grumbley was driving a 1972 Datsun south on Interstate 5 north of Junipero Serra at 2:15 a.m. when he swerved out of control and went down an embankment, California Highway Patrol officials said. Grumbley was ejected from the car.
