PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Pirates’ fans will have to pay more to watch the team play in 1989, beginning with the home opener April 11 against the New York Mets.
For the first time in their history, the Pirates’ most popular tickets, club box seats, will cost more than $10. The Pirates said Tuesday their 1989 ticket prices will be: club boxes, $10.50, mezzanine boxes, $8.50; terrace (upper deck) boxes, $7.50; reserved seats, $6; general admission, $4; and youth general admission, $2.
About 22,000 of the 59,000 seats in Three Rivers Stadium, including all field-level seats, are club boxes.
