Digitext, the Thousand Oaks technology company, has elected four directors to its board: Donald E. Haney, Theodore Mayer, Thomas J. Johnson and Abraham Zion. Haney is a former Navy officer; Mayer is chief executive of Mayer Securities in New York; Johnson is a former president of a telescope manufacturer, and Zion is an investment banker. The company now has nine board members.

One director who did not seek reelection is Patrick J. Rooney, who had purchased an option to buy 10% of the company’s stock. Rooney is the former head of the now defunct investment banking concern, Rooney Pace.

Digitext has been struggling to get its main product--a keyboard that rapidly enters text into a computer--into the marketplace.
