Hacienda Schools : Amnesty Applicant Classes
The Hacienda La Puente Unified School District adult education department is offering additional classes for amnesty applicants who need to fulfill the educational requirements of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.
Under the law, applicants must pass a citizenship test given in English or must enroll in a class covering U.S. history, government and English.
Applicants who enroll can earn a certificate rather than taking a test at the immigration office to qualify for residency in the United States. The district conducts free classes in Hacienda Heights and La Puente. Applicants may phone (818) 968-4638.
