A suspended Sacramento criminal attorney went to court in handcuffs after his arrest for alleged possession of an illegal sawed-off shotgun and seven pounds of methamphetamine. Jerome S. Stanley, 55, faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted on federal charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and being armed in the commission of a felony. Narcotics agents said they believe that Stanley was associated with a drug lab they raided in the El Dorado County community of Garden Valley near Georgetown. Two Garden Valley residents--Bonnie Ann Durham, 26, and John Hugh Hanoum, 39--were arrested at the drug lab on suspicion of illegally manufacturing drugs. After his arrest, Stanley was sentenced in Sacramento Superior Court to six months in jail for violating terms of his probation stemming from an arrest for possessing stolen property.
