The San Diego Chargers (2-8), trying to stop a 6-game losing streak, have decided to start second-year quarterback Mark Vlasic instead of veteran Mark Malone at Atlanta Sunday.
Vlasic, a fourth-round draft pick from Iowa, has not played this year while backing up Babe Laufenberg and Malone, who was 0-4 as the starter.
