Four Seasons Hotel Hit by Fire
About 60 guests of the posh 17-story Four Seasons Hotel on the Beverly Hills border were evacuated from their rooms early today when a small fire broke out in a second-floor laundry chute, fire officials said. Security guards discovered the fire about 4:30 a.m. and put out the flames before firefighters arrived, Four Seasons spokesman Jeff Knollmiller said.
“As a safety precaution, we evacuated the second and third floors,” he said. Guests handled the disturbance with aplomb, he said. “Even though they were woken up early, the guests were pleased it was such a small fire.”
