Two people have been arrested on suspicion of selling more than a pound of heroin, the San Diego County Narcotics Task Force said Thursday in announcing the end of a three-month investigation.

On Wednesday, the two suspects allegedly delivered an ounce of heroin to the area of 8th Avenue and National Boulevard in National City. They were arrested, and a search was conducted at a house in the 3800 block of 37th Street in San Diego, police said.

At that residence, about 1 pounds of heroin were recovered, along with a small amount of cocaine and a handgun. Police said the heroin had a street value of about $125,000.
