Retirement Complex Construction Started

Ground has been broken for Royal Palms Retirement Center at 435 W. 8th St. in San Pedro, a congregate-care facility consisting of 101 rental units. Completion is scheduled for next summer.
The project is a development of JOLA Enterprises of Los Angeles; the architect is Rockhold Towbin & Associates, and California Coast Development Group is the contractor.
