Police seized $10,000 worth of cocaine and arrested two people late Saturday night when a fight led to a shoots being fired outside a bar, police said Sunday.
The shooting, in which no one was reported injured, occurred about 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of The Pub, a bar on West 17th Street, Sgt. Joe Esther said.
Police said a man identified as Dwight Edward Lacy, 36, of Hollywood fired four shots at a man and a woman in the bar’s parking lot after Lacy’s companion, Dominique Cady, 22, got into a fight with the woman over use of a washroom.
Lacy and Cady were arrested after witnesses described their car to a patrol officer who had heard the shots, Esther said.
Police found a .25-caliber automatic pistol in the parking lot, and a search of Lacy’s 1982 Cadillac El Dorado turned up scales, pagers and 3 ounces of cocaine, Esther said.
Police suspect that the pistol was stolen in a Hollywood robbery, reportedly “by suspects approximating the description of Lacy and Cady,” Esther said.
Lacy and Cady are being held at Orange County Jail.
