The State : Don’t Cash Me In, Guard Says

Share

Like a captain who goes down with his sinking ship, an armored truck guard refused to leave the money he was protecting after the rig flipped on rain-slick California 99 in Tulare County. The driver left the truck after it overturned north of Goshen, but the guard in back refused to leave, California Highway Patrol spokesman Tom Duncan said. “He said he wouldn’t get out until the manager arrived and said it was safe to get out,” Duncan said. However, patrolmen eventually persuaded the guard to leave the truck, Duncan said.
