Bird KOs UPS Cargo Jet

PORTLAND, Ore. — A Boeing 757 cargo plane bound for Ontario, Calif., made an emergency landing at Portland International Airport following takeoff today after a bird knocked out an engine, Port of Portland officials said. The United Parcel Service plane landed safely shortly after takeoff and there were no injuries, Port of Portland spokeswoman Sara Roberts said.
