Local News in Brief : Building Reports Ordered by Bradley
Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley has ordered building officials to regularly update City Council members on developments proposed for their districts.
In a letter to Building and Safety General Manager Frank Kroeger, Bradley said monthly reports should be submitted to the 15 council offices with details of proposed housing or commercial projects.
Bradley pointed out that Kroeger’s department has recently put on computer its pending applications for new development and said that this should be made available to the public.
In a press release, the mayor’s office said the request fulfills a promise by Bradley in last spring’s “State of the City” address to communicate better with the general public.
